F. Psychometric Profiles
Psychometric profiling is a common method that employers use to establish your personal profile. In other words what your personality is.
This is nothing to worry about as long as you are prepared for the test. However it's not really a test as you answer questions about yourself and there are no right or wrong answers.
THE KEY IS BEING PREPARED - Make sure that you have taken a test and you understand what it is about.
YOU MAY NEVER BE ASKED TO TAKE ONE BUT YOU MUST BE PREPARED
Why not take a test now? it’s free

G. Your CV is your marketing tool.
Your CV is your marketing tool. In most situations this is the only document that will be used to decide if you are called to interview.
Recruiters and hiring managers only spend a short time, as little as 1 minute reading your CV. In fact, on the first pass they just scan through it.
1. PROFILE this is where you state what you do.
2. KEY SKILLS List out your key skills so that they are clear.
3. GAPS explain any large gaps in your employment history.
4. POWER WORDS Use power words to describe your experience.
5. DIFFERENT CVs You should produce a master CV and then modify it slightly for each specific role for which you are applying.

H. You want to be found by recruiters
Recruiters both at agencies and companies use databases of CVs to find people to fill jobs. They search for words and phrases to select people often from 1000’s of CVs.
YOU NEED TO BE FOUND so consider:-
1. BE SEEN – Use job boards, upload your CV so that recruiters can find you
2. STANDARD JOB TITLES – Use standard job titles or variations so that when recruiters search for job titles in a CV they will find you
3. KEY WORDS – Make sure you have a key word section on your CV
REMEMBER the KEY to a successful job application is:-
* A WINNING CV
* A STRUCTURED JOB SEARCH
* INTERVIEW TECHNIQUE
If you don’t spend time on all three and don’t have the tools available to ensure success then you are not helping yourself to secure that JOB.
